Events Chef Duties include:
- Cooking & preparing food to a high standard.
- Ordering food and ensuring stock rotation and clear labelling of food is occurring, identifying any problems and rectifying them training staff on stock rotation and clear labelling of foods.
- Ensuring costs are kept to budget and budgeted cost of sales are achieved each month.
- Checking off food against delivery notes and storing appropriately.
- Train new staff on procedures.
- Collaborating appropriately to deliver bespoke, costed menu options.
- Developing and costing menus in line with wedding and events packs.
- Customer Service: Ensure guest’s requirements are met, i.e. vegetarian, dietary requirements.
- Ensuring HACCP is kept up to date and all staff are trained on HACCP.
- Responsible for staff rotas.
Events Chef Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a busy professional kitchen at Senior Sous level.
- An advanced understanding of all basic cooking techniques.
- Proven ability to train and manage a team of chefs from KP to Sous Chef level in order to deliver a consistent service.
- Experience of menu creation with effective costing.
- Financial and business awareness in order to keep to budgets and drive profits.
