Our client is a well established and successful tour operator that offers its discerning clientele a wide range of services including European and worldwide destinations. Due to expansion this award winning travel organisation are now looking for an experienced Scandinavian Tailormade Travel Consultant to join their busy and friendly team.
This exciting role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same, this includes:
- Creating and selling tailormade travel itineraries to destinations in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden & Denmark) along with Portugal and Italy.
- Ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded.
- Offering a cutting edge customer service
- Handling incoming calls professionally from direct clients and travel agency partners, identify their needs and suggest suitable holiday itineraries.
- Making sure documentation in correct
- Attending travel industry workshops and events.
- Participate in FAM trips to learn about the countries the company feature.
What are we looking for?
- Sales experience in the travel industry i.e. from a tour operator or travel agency
- Strong European geographical knowledge, in particular Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal and Italy would be preferable.
- Working knowledge of CRS such as Amadeus or Galileo is an advantage, but not essential as training can be provided.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Good sales techniques and an excellent telephone manner.
- Experience working to targets.
