We are seeking an experienced Reservations and Group Travel Specialist to join a highly successful travel company that deal with an array of luxury travel products and events across the globe for clients.
Ideal for a travel professional from a tour operator, travel agent, hotel or corporate travel background seeking career progression and something a little different. Office based Monday to Friday with generous commission.
This exciting opportunity is designed to make reservations in hotels, serviced apartment, conferences and events worldwide.
Reservations and Group Travel Specialist Duties:
- Taking hotel reservations over the email, telephone and via other mediums
- Booking hotels, events and other travel products across the globe for clients and offering a cutting edge customer service.
- Working with negotiated rates and negotiating rates on behalf of the company.
- Processing accommodation or event bookings and sending detailed confirmations.
- Checking the day to day arrival list to see if any VIP need attention.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in making reservations in a hotel, travel agent, tour operator or business travel is essential
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- An excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Exceptional customer care skills
- Ability to negotiate rates with hotels or find innovative solutions
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Powerpoint.
