We are seeking an experienced Meeting & Events Travel Consultant working remotely for a highly successful travel company. This exciting role involves for servicing and customers globally with groups, meetings and event enquiries, via phone and email.
Ideal for a travel professional with meetings and events experience seeking career progression and something a little different.
Meeting & Events Travel Consultant Duties:
- Looking after customer travel needs from first enquiry to travel completed
- Servicing bookings from start to finish, including post booking activities.
- Arranging large scale flights for customers travelling from various destinations into event which are being organised.
- Utilising outbound calling, up-selling and cross-selling, along with other techniques, to maximise revenue.
- Focusing on group flight and hotel bookings.
- Partnering with Destination Management Companies and event providers to offer additional products globally.
- Building relationships with and working alongside internal partners such as Product, Finance, and Commercial.
Essential Experience:
- Meetings and Events experience is essential (bonus from a travel industry background).
- Experience in the groups trip travel sector.
- Focused on providing excellent service to customers.
- Sales driven.
- Keen to develop new skills and happy to try something new.
- Amadeus or other GDS knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
- Language skills – German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish – ideal but not essential.
