We are working with a successful luxury travel company who are now seeking an experienced Group Travel Operations Manager to join their team working remotely. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a current Operations Manager or Head of Operations from a leisure tour operator background from any part of the UK as the role is home based.

This highly successful travel company offers an array of destinations across the globe to travellers.

Travel Operations Manager Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe, successful, and profitable running of all trips.
  • Implement and develop a comprehensive and highly scalable operations strategy.
  • Oversee operations of trips, ensuring all objectives are met on time and on budget.
  • Oversee day-to-day running of the Operations team including trip planning, supplier contracting, and guest support.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards met or exceeded, maintain supplier database, and develop and manage business relationships with key partners.
  • Oversee trip budgeting, pricing, and post-trip reconciliation.
  • Own and manage relationships with local DMCs including the drafting and oversight of SLAs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in leading an Operations department (DMC or tour operator) focused on packaged group travel. We would consider one who has worked as head of operations.
  • Strong and proven leadership skills.
  • Experience managing international group departures.
  • Experience overseeing guest NPS scores, a key KPI for the role.
  • Experience implementing a Critical Incident Management strategy.
  • Experience onboarding, managing, and training, including remote employees and freelance guides.
  • Superior industry product knowledge in North America and Europe & the UK with knowledge of additional areas.
  • Foreign language skills preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
