Our client is a luxury tour operator who have been established for over 35 years now seeking an experienced tailormade travel consultant to join its friendly and busy team due to expansion. This elite tour operator offer a wide range on holiday types from luxury tailormade travel to adventure tours for direct customers throughout Europe, USA, Caribbean, Far East, Middle East, Indian Ocean and the Pacific. This exciting tailormade reservations role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same, this includes:
- Creating bespoke tailormade worldwide itineraries and tours to direct customers
- Deal professionally with enquiries by phone or e-mail
- Taking reservations calls from the general public and other potential clients
- Offering a cutting edge customer service
- Making accurate reservations on CRS / GDS
- Making hotel reservations with hoteliers and suppliers
- Dealing changes to itineraries and queries in a friendly and efficient manner
- Booking flights, hotels, apartments, airport lounges, car hire plus many more travel extras
What are we looking for?
- All applicants must have experience within the travel industry in tailormade, sales and reservations.
- Good geographical knowledge of Longhaul and Shorthaul destinations a must.
- Knowledge of travel industry and some experience of foreign travel.
- Professional telephone manner
- CRS / GDS Proficient such as Sabre or Galileo – cross training provided
- Enthusiastic, with an ability to work under pressure
- Customer focused with natural flair to convert enquiries into sales
- Team spirited with good attention to detail
