Africa Travel Sales Expert Duties:
- Creating bespoke wildlife, safari adventure and tailormade travel experiences across the iconic Africa whilst delivering exceptional, personalised customer service to high-profile clients.
- From the stunning landscapes of Cape Town to the unforgettable wildlife experiences of Namibia, the Africa Travel Specialist will design and sell a diverse range of tailor-made itineraries, creating exceptional journeys perfectly suited to each customer’s travel style and interests.
- Building private client relationships.
- Managing the complete sales cycle from initial enquiry through to confirmed bookings for trips across Africa.
- Maintaining expert knowledge of destinations, operators, lodges, camps, and travel products across Africa.
- Building relationships with ground operators, DMCs, and travel partners.
- Participating in familiarisation trips to enhance Africa destination knowledge.
- Contributing to marketing initiatives, content creation, and social media
- Staying current with industry trends, new properties, conservation initiatives, and adventure activities.
- Bringing new ideas for products, itineraries, and market opportunities.
Africa Travel Expert – Essential Requirements:
- Experience in arranging luxury trips across Africa from a UK based established luxury tour operator.
- Extensive personal travel experience across Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of safari experiences, gorilla trekking, wildlife viewing, wilderness camps, and adventure travel across Africa.
- Understanding of ground operators, safari camps, lodges, and specialist travel providers across the continent.
- Proven track record in successful travel sales with demonstrable results and conversion rates
- Creative thinker someone who doesn’t just follow processes but actively looks for ways to improve them.
- Strong attention to detail in proposal creation and booking administration
- Passionate about wildlife, wilderness, conservation, and adventure travel across Africa.
- Customer-focused with natural ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Team player who supports colleagues and contributes to team success.
- Proactive thinker who brings ideas, suggestions, and creative solutions
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
