Our client is an award winning and global tour operator, due to success and expansion, now seeking an experienced Portuguese, Spanish, German, French or Italian Speaking Contracts Executive to join the friendly and busy contracting & purchasing department.
There are three main aspects of this exciting Contracts Executive opportunity is to provide commercial and administrative support to a team of Contracts Managers whilst maximising contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining hotel inventory through monitoring availability and pick-up
- Negotiating top ups and close outs directly with the hotels
- Maximising contracts performance through negotiating tactical and special offers at hotel level
- Loading of adhoc special offers
- Price comparisons
- Assisting the Contract Manager with business development opportunities in new areas
Person specification:
- Commercial awareness in the Travel Industry
- Proven hotel or inbound tour operator experience is a must
- Fluency in Portuguese, German, Spanish, French OR Italian is a must as well as fluency in English – would consider other European languages
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Comfortable using phone to negotiate with suppliers.
- Experience in working in fast paced and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to negotiate is key
- Organised with impeccable attention to detail
- Numerically astute
